gallon of paint

my dad and gwyn came out to visit. it was so fun having them here. while they were here we decided to paint seth's room. i was so so so excited about this idea. we went to the store and picked out the cutest color of paint, nordic blue. by that night, the room was prepped to paint and we were ready to start painting that next morning.  around 8:30 am we heard a big THUMP. when i got to the room, all that was in there was a GALLON of paint upside down on my carpet including a HUGE PUDDLE of paint underneath it.
the WHOLE stinkin gallon was emptied out on the carpet. seth had dragged a chair from the playroom into his room. he put the chair up to his dresser, climbed up, and pushed the gallon of paint off. my stomach started turning upside down. all i thought about was the cute room with this HUGE stain in the carpet. i grabbed seth and ran to lowes while gwyn and my dad took my big plastic spoons and started scooping the paint up off the carpet. i rented a rugdoctor and bought $75 worth of cleaning supplies. i had no idea what i was going to use, but i had it just incase we needed it.
are you ready for this....we were able to get every single drop of paint off that dang carpet. it was seriously amazing! that rugdoctor, gwyn, and my dad seriously preformed a miracle. we ended up pulling up the carpet to check underneath and lucky for me the builders left a plastic cover on top of the padding under my carpet. if it wasn't for that, i am afraid i would still be dealing with paint coming up. if you even get down on your knees and look through the carpet, you will not see a drop of blue paint.
after about four hours of cleaning up paint and three hours of painting, the room looks great. i love it and am super excited to paint tates room. i will just lock the door next time so seth can't get in! i wish so bad i had the real pictures for you to see. i erased them thinking i already downloaded them onto my computer.
this is what happened though....

puddle of paint was here. as seth would say, "all gone!!!!"

finished.

Love your diagram! Love the blue. And I'm just glad it's on the walls and not on the carpet anymore!!! The airplanes are awesome. What a fun room!
