for the last couple of years we have made it a tradition in our family to cut down our own christmas tree. its so fun to do and i love watching tatum check out each tree to see which one she likes the best. this year we went with our friends megan and chris and their two cute kids. we got to the christmas tree farm about 5:15 and didn't realize how fast it was getting dark. it was a good thing the owner of the tree farm had some flash lights! it was also VERY cold that night and both megan and i were not that prepared. we didn't bring warm coats for our kids or for us. did i mention it was muddy too! i have to admit that even though it was cold, muddy, and dark, we had the best time picking out our tree. we were there with great friends and the kids had a blast.

they are shaking our tree to try to get all the loose needles out. i wish it would have scared all those little jumping spiders out that were all over our tree when we got it set up in our house. i was a little freaked out so i wore surgical gloves while putting the lights on the tree.

I love that you wore surgical gloves! We need a picture of that! It was really fun to do with you guys! I can't wait to do it again next year...this time with coats and hats!
