Preschool starts in two weeks, which means Kindergarten in ONE year!
I don't know why I am so sad about Tatum going to Preschool this year. Last year I was excited for her. I knew she would have SO much fun, but for some reason knowing that this is her last year of Preschool and she is headed to Kindergarten next year makes me SO SAD. I know I have ONE year before she starts Kindergarten, but I feel like it is just around the corner. Kindergarten here is everyday, ALL DAY LONG! I have heard that its good to have it all day and everyday, but I am not used to the idea at all. They start at 7:45 and go until 3:00. Doesn't that seem so long? If you have had kids in all day Kindergarten, let me know if your kids survived and if they did O.K. being away from home for that long.

Good luck on getting anyone to respond, I don't think there has ever been a child be at school that long everyday, who has lived to talk about it. Those "schools" are basically concentration camps for little kids. :o) she will be fine :o)

I would miss her too Mands! I think you should go down and spy on her. I would!
You're crazy. I would kill many people to have all day kindergarten. Many many people.
That makes me sad thinking about Kaiya being gone all day and she is still 3 years away! There was an article in the SL Trib last week about all-day Kindergarten that showed that kids who did it had their test scores improve much more than kids who only did half day Kindergarten, and that they are trying to push for more funding for it here in Utah because the kids do so well. I hope that helps you feel a little better:)
What? That is awesome! You need to party it up! and by party it up I really mean....go grocery shopping, get in a shower for the day, clean the house.....
What are we going to do without our sweet little girls? Sad, sad, sad. Bring on the tissue.
I have really struggled the past few days as Sam is getting ready to start all-day kindergarten. He had his school pictures last week and he had tears in his eyes. I sense a little anxiety for him. The main thing I have heard about all-day K is that the kids just go to bed early because they are so exhausted. Sam met his teacher tonight and I think he is very excited!!
I'm worried for Clara to start school too, but it's only half day four days a week this year. She will probably be half day next year too. They just had such a great experience last year, I hope this one works out ok. I did hear that here a study found that kids did better scholastically with full day kindergarten. We miss you guys.
Ummmmm, new post please, and some new music too while your at it, please. 8 hours of these songs everyday are getting a little tiring. We love Taylor Swift! :)
