Party Time

Tatum had her birthday party Friday night. It was so much fun! It was her first friend party without having any of the parents stay. She had the whole party planned. As soon as all the kids arrived at our house we dressed them up in some cowboy gear, (since it was a Western party.) After they were all dressed up I knew I only had a couple minutes to snap some pictures of them. I was right! As soon as I was done taking pictures, they took the hats and bandanas off and didn't want anything to do with them. We also played Pin the Tail on the Donkey, Simon Says, and a balloon game. We had chocolate cake and finished the night off with a pinata. The pinata was a big hit!! It took almost thirty minutes to break it open, but it was fun watching how excited the kids got once the candy hit the floor.
We decided to get Tatum a bike for her birthday. She was so excited! It took us awhile to convince her that she HAS to wear a helmet though. While we were out running errands today, I kept pointing out people on bikes that had helmets on. She also saw some kids on T.V. wearing helmets, so now she has decided that it is "cool" to wear a helmet.
